I am writing this review of owning and using daily for almost 4 years. This fully met my expectations of survivability due to how often it was used. Daily and often more than once a day. I suspect if it was not used as often by several people in our family, it would have lasted longer! Having the option of the Tea Infuser was also very convenient and an awesome feature as an option for tea or other infused drinks. Additionally, the auto shut-off was a life saver. I used to put a pan on the stove to boil water....and get busy and completely forget it. This safety feature is a life saver! Easy to clean with vinegar and water if you have hard water. Lastly, there is a mesh strainer at the spout so any lose leaf or hard water particles remain in the kettle when pouring water/tea.

I had a smaller kettle but wanted more volume. This one is generously sized over the max 1.8 L mark so that it won't boil over, even when you push that a bit. I can't complain about speed. It's not a lot longer than my old one liter. And it's very little larger in footprint so it can still live in my coffee/tea table. The thumb switch on the handle makes sense. The old one had an odd flip switch at the bottom

Easy to use & easy to clean--not complicated. I wanted to brew tea, not just boil water, so the well-made tea infuser is perfect! The blue lights while it's turned on are also fun--ad easier to see than a tiny button light. I like that the cord winds nicely in the base, and that the pot simply slips onto the base--no clamps or adjusting needed. This is replacing our microwave, which we only used to heat up tea!

I love using this teapot. I make organic loose leaf teas in it. I had an old tea pot, but it was easy to burn my hand on it when using it. I received it 44 years ago, when I got married as a wedding gift. This new pot is well designed, it is much safer to use. It automatically turns off when the tea is made. I love it lights up with a bright blue light when it is brewing, and the light goes off when the tea is finish. The pot is not hot, so it is much safer to use. I like the loose tea defuser, so I don't have to strain the grounds out of the tea. It is easy to clean. It makes great tea. It is well worth the money that spend to buy it. Best tea kettle. I make a ton of tea with this guy, it lights up when on so you know its going, it is thick glass so its not too hot but sturdy, and the price wasn't outrageous.

I'd never heard of MegaChef before so i read many but many reviews and researched many similar products for 2 weeks before selected this one.Finally i bought this tea kettle almost 1 month and is used once or twice p/day, been very happy with it, tea made easily, looks pretty nice with the blue light up heating the water and do very well (shuts off automatically when done, the most important thing i research when i selected because was a Christmas present for my mother has begun forget to turn off the stove when she boil water).Think the tea infuser should have been made a litte longer, when people just need a coup of tea, no 16 onz or more!Easy to use for older people as my mother.Til' now is a good value for the money i paid, and she is ver but very happy with this present!:)Cons: Very

I bought this electric tea kettle with an infuser tube in order to make herbal teas at home. I got tired of boiling water in a saucepan in order to steep a herbal tea. This tea kettle serves that purpose well: it heats up water quickly and shuts itself off promptly after water has started to boil. It can bring a quart of water to a boiling point within mere five minutes. It need not be watched unlike a saucepan on an electric stove, which is rather convenient.Two practical comments on the design are worth being mentioned. One, the tea infuser should have been made longer, as in order to steep a coupe of tea, one need pour at least 16oz of water to submerge the bottom of the infuser.
