MATERIALES DE ARTE CREATIVO Caran D'ache Paleta Aquarelle (117.103)

This card comes in handy for mixing watercolors. Expensive, but, I Think, useful.

This palette is juuuust rough enough to allow one to scribble with a watercolor pencil or two, add water, and use as a traditional watercolor with a brush. I use very fine brushes to paint points/ends of curls—this allows me to use the exact pencil shade, but in a finer line via brush. Portable and inexpensive, and better than anything else I’ve found for this precise use. With Caran d’Ache museum watercolor pencils, I can mix colors on the palette in the same way, though that might not work with cheaper pencils.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a palette that was rough so I could use it for watercolor pencils.Functionality:I love this little palette because it has one side that is smooth and the opposite side rough! Using the rough side, I could scratch watercolor pencils or Inktense pencils across it, add water to mix right on the palette then transfer to paper. Especially good for Intense don’t can see the exact color before applying to your painting!

Really like the size and textured surface of this palette, it makes my watercolor crayons even more versatile. I have to say it's expensive for what it is, but I'd still recommend it. Do I truly need it? No. Did I really want it? Yeah.: )

I’ve just begun watercolor pencil studies as a summer teaching project, and found this handy item. So easy to paint on the go with pencils and this palette! Nice portable size for plein air painting. Stains, so best to use the same areas for your colors. I’m told a white cleaning sponge can help keep it clean. White plastic cutting boards also work, but the Caran D’ache is a higher quality item with a finer granular surface, and of a size that is perfect for travel & plein air pencil painting. Perfect for use with my better quality pencils.

This is my favorite new purchase for water color pencils/ water soluble pastels. Photo is Caran D'ache Neocolor II water soluble pastels. There's a textured side and a smooth side. I was skeptical that my wc pencils would still color on it, but they did! So perfectly, too!*It's easier to get in tight spaces*It's easier to blend on the palette*You lose far less waste to sharpening*You don't get any kind of waxy bloomIt's the perfect size. Not to small or too big*It's very easy to clean*You can still use them after they dry. Just rehydrate them after they are dry. *Since they dry fast on the pallette, it's easy to add more color to the same place.I'm not sure how I live without this tool. It's my favorite new purchase. I can't be more pleased with it or recommend it highly enough.Sorry if …

This little pallette was so much more useful than I ever thought it would be! My son loves to paint and color, so as I owned the CD Pablo's pencils already, I decided to invest in the supracolors 120 set to extend the life of my pablos and to use for watercolor paintings, and this little pallet was highly recommended for use with watercolor pencils or media and It is perfect for scratching off a bit of color and getting right to work. I actually am considering buying a second for my other media like the neocolor II's because my son adopted the 1st one i bought as his. Very nice tool for watercolor type medias like water soluble crayons and pencils. Excited to try the smooth side for markers as I recently acquired the ohuhu 168 set! Will update if anything changes! Great purchase that I am
