Garmin Carga/Clip de datos

Was so bummed when I lost the charger to my watch, because otherwise the watch was working fine. I know there are so many newer versions with multiple functions but all I need is basic yardage. This replacement charger works perfectly- if anything better than the original because the the connection pins on the original was starting to act up and I would have to triple check it was connected properly otherwise it wouldn't charge. This one works great so far.

This charge/data clip works great just only lasts about a month before the clip breaking at the spring pin in it then if your lucky it will hold together to do Data downloads only unless you don't mind sitting and holding it together while it charges it needs redesign by manufacturer to make it into a cradle type charger instead of a clip. But I will just keep buying these until I can buy another watch that has a cradle charge/data cable.

I bought my best friend a Garmin S1 GPS golf watch for his 53rd birthday. I have one too. We play golf 1 to 3 times a week and he's was always asking me for the distance to the green. So I got him his own. They're about $140 to $160 dollars for the S1 model. (The lowest price i've ever seen was Black Friday 2014: $99 bucks!!) He lost the recharging cord/clip the week after his birthday. For a month of golf outings, he never wore his GPS watch. I found this Charge clip on Amazon and it was identical to the one that came with the watch! The exact part! When I gave it to him and he was surprised and grateful. We've been buddies since 1978; 36 years to be exact, but he didn't expect me to replace the charge clip he lost. Heck, it was pretty cheap and it arrived quickly, like in two days!!

The Garmin unit isn't of much use when you can't charge it, and our original charging clip got chewed to bits by our new puppy. This is an exact replacement so it does the job. The design is what it is, a finicky way of making the connection to be sure, but it's what it needs to be to connect to the original Garmin design.

I misplaced the charger that came with the watch. I am sure it is sitting at a hotel someplace. This was a direct replacement. I am not personally a fan of the Garmin design....it is essentially a 'blind' connection to get the pins on the clip and the pads on the watch to align, but this is a direct swap for what came new with the watch.

Previous brand new Garmin with charger and charger only lasted just under a year before having problems. So needed a replacement. This replacement took care of my charging issues immediately (which I was grateful, as I thought something was wrong with the actual Garmin....think the previous charger just lost it's "grip"). So far, so good.... glad to have a replacement available. But Garmin has got to improve on this design....it's pretty crummy.

My Garmin Golf GPS watch is wonderful. Works flawlessly. However, the charger was inadvertently broken.:-(I placed an order for this item and asked/paid for Overnight Delivery. I am in Portland, OR and the order was shipping from Seattle, WA.The replacement charger was not delivered the next day as requested. It was delivered the following day instead. It was exactly what I needed and wanted and it works perfectly.I sent an email to Amazon customer service expressing my disappointment that I did not receive it Overnight as paid for.They responded immediately saying they were sorry, it had been processed and shipped correctly (it was) and sometimes there are issues with UPS that they cannot control.However, Amazon then refunded my complete shipping cost! I broke the clamp-y part of my old charger and it would not grip the Garmin to charge it. Unfortunately, the Garmin Forerunner 210 cannot be charged without it. This product only includes the cord with the clamp on one end and the USB device on the other end. It does not include the wall charger.I ordered this late on Saturday. It was shipped early Sunday. I received it on Tuesday afternoon (via the 2nd day shipping option).
