Got my sweeper back in shape to pick up all this summer grass. If your sweeper is "skipping" or you hear clicking or popping and grass just isn't getting picked up, it may be the plastic teeth on the inside of the wheels, but if not, check the bearing on the brush shaft behind the pinion gears. The center of the bearing is bronze, and meets up with the steel brush shaft, but it is surrounded by hard plastic, which meets up with the steel frame edge. Planned obsolescence. Made to wear out so you buy more parts. Suggest you buy two at a time. One for each side, or if one end is OK when you disassemble, then you have a spare for next year.
