Saved the threads on an old go-kart axle
Bought this for an old go\-kart I’m rebuilding for my nephew\. The kart was in pretty rough shape when I got it and I promised him I’d get it running again\.The threads on both ends of the axle were smashed pretty bad\. I couldn’t even get the nuts to start threading onto the axle\.Used both the tap and die from this set with just some WD40\. The die started very easily and cleaned up the axle threads without any problems\. I used the tap to clean up the nuts as well\.Afterwards both nuts threaded onto the axle nice and smooth\. No chipped teeth or damage to the tap or die and both worked great\.Definitely worth it and I’ll be able to use the set again\. 5 stars\.
